PM Modi's Vision Sparks Political Divide: BJP Praises, Opposition Flags Concerns in Exclusive Interview

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent interview with PTI, conducted at his Lok Kalyan Marg residence, has sparked a heated debate between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition parties in India. The interview touched upon various aspects of India's development, and the reactions from political leaders were starkly divided along party lines.

In the interview, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the shift from a GDP-centric approach to a more human-centric one, advocating the 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' model as a guiding principle for global welfare. He stated that India's economic growth was a natural result of his government's nine-year political stability, expressing optimism about India's path towards becoming a developed nation by 2047, free from corruption, casteism, and communalism.

The BJP leadership lauded the Prime Minister's vision and achievements over the last nine years. Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar praised India's rise on the global stage under PM Modi's leadership, highlighting India's G20 presidency as a significant milestone. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan commended the transformation of India's talent pool to serve the nation's 140 crore people.

However, the opposition, particularly members of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), raised concerns about unemployment and rising commodity prices. Congress MP Ranjeet Ranjan criticized the government for beautifying roads in preparation for the upcoming G20 Summit while young Indians were demanding employment opportunities. AAP MP Sanjay Singh alleged that under PM Modi, unemployment reached a 42-year high, and the prices of essential goods, such as fuel and medicines, surged.

Congress leader Shobha Oza pointed out that inflation and unemployment had made life difficult for the common people, and she alleged atrocities against women, Dalits, and tribals under the current government. DMK leader TKS Elangovan disputed the claim of political stability in the country.

RJD MP and spokesperson Manoj Jha took a dig at the BJP, suggesting that their party might struggle if fake news were controlled. Jammu and Kashmir Congress Committee president Vikar Rasool argued that there had been no positive change in the country under the BJP's rule, except for an increase in inflation and unemployment.

In contrast, BJP leaders hailed the Prime Minister for his visionary leadership. BJP MP Subrat Pathak emphasized PM Modi's long-term vision for India, aiming to make the country developed and self-reliant by the time it celebrates 100 years of independence in 2047. BJP leader Jaiveer Shergill praised PM Modi's report card and his ability to lay out a vision for the next several decades.

During the interview, Prime Minister Modi also discussed India's decision to host G-20 events across the country, framing it as an investment in capacity-building among people, cities, and institutions. He took a swipe at previous governments, suggesting they lacked confidence in holding mega events outside the capital in smaller places.
