Air India Flight Bomb threat: There was a stir after a bomb threat to an Air India plane. The plane going from Mumbai to New York was diverted to Delhi airport. There was a bomb threat for an Air India aircraft flying from Mumbai to New York. Later, the flight was diverted to Delhi airport. According to the officials, all the passengers are safe and further investigation is going on.

The police said that the aircraft has been escorted to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi and all the necessary security-related arrangements are duly being implemented to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.

Air India flight AI 657 had a total of 135 passengers and crew members. All have been safely taken to Delhi airport. The aircraft has been kept at isolation bay.

An Air India spokesperson said flight AI119 flying in from Mumbai to JFK got an extra outfits security alert and was diverted to Delhi on the instruction of government's safety regulatory committee. "All passengers have disembarked and are at the terminal building of Delhi airport.".

In fact, it happened just days after a technical glitch on a similar Air India Express from Tiruchirappalli to Sharjah forced the jet to circle several times in the air to reduce fuel and weight before making a safe landing on Friday.

Shortly after lift-off, the plane developed a malfunction relating to the hydraulic system-landing gear. The airlines said,. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin praised the pilots and the crew of the airship for making a safe landing.

Explaining further, an Air India Express spokesperson said: "After declaring the technical fault, the aircraft, as a precautionary measure, circled the designated area several times to reduce fuel and, in turn, the weightmanship considering the length of the runway before making a safe landing.". The company said that the cause of this fault will be investigated. "Safety of our passengers has always been and will remain our priority ".
