“It would have been good if PM Modi had come”, former Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif expressed regret before the SCO summit
SCO Summit In Pakistan: The SCO summit is starting in Pakistan today. Meanwhile, the country's former PM Nawaz Sharif has given a big statement about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A two-day SCO Summit has been organised from Tuesday, October 15 in Pakistan. The leaders of the governments of all the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will participate in this conference being held in the Pakistani capital Islamabad. A strict lockdown has been imposed in Islamabad for this two-day event so that there is no lapse in security. It is in this regard that on behalf of India, the country's Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will attend the conference in place of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has issued a big statement regarding PM Modi not going to Pakistan.
There is nothing special about the relation of India and Pakistan. The trade relation between the two countries has completely terminated. India has always been prepared to maintain relations with Pakistan on the condition of peace, but the spoiled relations between the two countries are due to Pakistani terrorists not stopping their activities. That's why P.M Modi is not going to visit Pakistan.
When former Pakistan PM Sharif was asked a question on this subject, he said, "I want good relations between India and Pakistan. It would have been good if PM Modi had come to Pakistan to attend this program. I hope that in the coming time, relations between the two countries will improve and I get an opportunity to sit and talk with PM Modi". While talking about the Kargil war, Nawaz said that because of Pakistan, this war happened and it was totally and completely a fault of Pakistan. More importantly, Nawaz said that Pakistan itself broke the promise made to India by violating the Lahore Agreement.
Thereby, since it was known that SCO Head of Government Conference would be held in Pakistan, it was equally clear that PM Modi would not attend it. Later, from the Indian side, came the clarification that PM Modi would not be traveling to Pakistan and that Jaishankar would represent him at the conference. After that, peoples' interest in this conference had dried off. This two-day event going on in Pakistan is also not getting much coverage throughout the international media.
