Chhattisgarh: Encounter between police and Naxalites in Sukma, 2 Naxalites killed

An encounter broke out between the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Naxalites in the Bhesai area of the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. Two Naxalites including a woman were killed in this. Police have given this information on Monday. Sukma police said that two Maoists have been killed in the encounter. Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma himself is leading the entire operation. Right now the search operation is going on in the area. At present, not much information has been revealed about this encounter. In the Dantewada-Sukma district, the news of encounters between police and Naxalites keeps coming to the fore. In the past, Naxalites had targeted the vehicles of the soldiers.
Sukma SP Sunil Sharma said that earlier on May 1, Maoists had set ablaze two tipper trucks engaged in construction work in the Ittapara area of the Sukma district. The incident is in the Fulbagdi police station area. According to SP Sharma, three labourers were safely rescued and brought to Phulbagdi police station.
Sukma police said that the search operation is still going on in the area. There is a possibility of hiding some more Naxalites. Let us tell you that there was a big Naxalite attack in Dantewada of Chhattisgarh a few days ago. In this attack, 11 DRG personnel were killed, while some were injured.
