IMC 2024: Country's largest tech event started, 900 startups have participated

The India Mobile Congress 2024, starting today at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, will go on till 18 October 2024. India Mobile Congress 2024 has participation from over 400 exhibitors, about 900 startups, and over 120 countries. This is the 8th edition of India Mobile Congress 2024. Like every year, this year too, the India Mobile Congress has been inaugurated by PM Modi himself. The theme of the 8th edition of India Mobile Congress will be "The Future is Now".

Modi said that IMC 2024 has greater significance since it will be the opportune moment to showcase India's growth in digital and telecom to the world. IMC 2024 will also have a special focus on India's 6G vision with the government insisting that it would strive to make India a global leader in 6G technology.

To this effect, under the India 6G Alliance, a target has been set: to contribute 10% of the patents in 6G standardization-a reflection of the ambition the country has for this domain.

Some of the keynote speakers that will be addressing at IMC 2024 are: Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group; Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Bharti Airtel; Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio Infocomm, and Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. The focus areas for IMC 2024 include 5G and 6G, DeepTech, Semiconductors, CleanTech, Satellite Communication, QuantumTech. The IMC is India's largest telecom and digital technology event, with a particular focus on the telecom sector, 5G and 6G technologies, IoT, AI, and digital innovation. It offers the best platform for government bodies, telecom companies, startups, and global technology experts to share ideas and innovations.
