Video found fake in fact check
According to the fact checking platform BOOM, this video is not of Kajol but of some social media influencer. It was uploaded on social media in June 2023 under the ‘Get Ready With Me’ (GRWM) trend. Now Kajol's fans have expressed their displeasure over this deepfake video.
Rashmika got the support of Amitabh and Mrinal
Earlier, a deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna went viral on social media, in which Rashmika's face was morphed neatly into the face of an influencer using AI technology.
After the video went viral, Rashmika Mandanna raised her voice against it, in which many celebs including Amitabh Bachchan and Mrunal Thakur also supported her.
What was the whole matter?
On November 6, a video went viral on social media, in which Rashmika Mandanna was seen in the lift. Looks like that girl is Rashmika, but actually that video was of a girl named Zara Patel, whose face was changed to Rashmika's face.
Rashmika had said, ‘Voice should be raised immediately’
As soon as the news of this was known, Rashmika had raised her voice against it. While sharing a post, he wrote, a deepfake video of mine is going viral on the internet, talking about which I feel very sad. Honestly, this is very scary not only for me but for each one of us who are in danger due to misuse of this technology.
We as a society should immediately raise our voice against this tampering with our identity, before more people become its victims.
Delhi Police took action
After this, Delhi Police registered an FIR in this matter. According to news agency ANI, Special Cell Police is investigating the case.
Along with this, the police has asked from Meta Company (Facebook-Instagram) for the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of the account from which the deep fake video of actress Rashmika Mandanna was shared on social media.
On the work front, this year Kajol was seen in the web series 'Lust Stories 2' and 'The Trial'. These days she is shooting for 'Sarzameen' and 'Do Patti'.
