Pawan Kalyan-Prakash Raj engage in verbal war over Tirupati Laddu controversy, make sharp attacks
Tirupati Laddu Controversy: A verbal war broke out between Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM and South superstar Pawan Kalyan and actor Prakash Raj over the Tirupati Prasadam controversy and the use of animal fat in laddus. Both have made sharp attacks on each other.

A debate has erupted on the social media platform X between Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and South superstar Pawan Kalyan and actor Prakash Raj. Actually, the two are having a verbal war over the Tirupati Laddu controversy. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan has accused the film industry of making light of religious issues. Pawan arrived in Vijayawada on Tuesday morning and carried out purification rituals as part of the 11-day Prayashchit Diksha. He accused Prakash Raj of challenging his secularism. Following this, Prakash Raj stated that he would respond to Pawan Kalyan's statement shortly.
Pawan Kalyan said, 'I am talking about issues like the sanctity of Hinduism and adulteration in food items. Why should I not speak on these matters? Prakash Raj, I respect you and when it comes to secularism, it should be a matter of mutual concern. I don't understand why you are criticizing me. Should I not speak against the attacks on Sanatan Dharma?'
Pawan Kalyan further said, 'Prakash should learn a lesson. The film industry and others should not take this issue lightly. I am very serious about Sanatan Dharma. Many critics have targeted Ayyappa and Goddess Saraswati. Sanatan Dharma has great importance. Every Hindu should take responsibility in this regard. If similar issues arise in other religions, there will be a widespread movement.'
At the same time, Prakash Raj responded to Pawan Kalyan's verbal attacks by sharing a post on his ex account. Prakash Raj said, 'Dear Pawan Kalyan Garu, I saw your press meet. What I said and what you misinterpreted is surprising. I am shooting abroad. I will be back to answer your questions. Meanwhile, I will be grateful if you can look at my previous tweet and understand it.'
Earlier, Pawan Kalyan had spoken about the alleged use of animal fat in making laddus at Tirupati-Tirumala temple and called for the establishment of Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board at the national level. Sharing a post on Instagram, Pawan Kalyan said, 'We are all very upset about the addition of animal fat (fish oil, pig fat and cow fat) in Tirupati Balaji Prasad. The TTD board formed by the YCP government had to answer many questions. Our government is committed to taking strict action, but it highlights many issues related to the desecration of temples, land issues, and other religious practices.'
He further said, 'Now the time has come to form a Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board at the national level to consider all the issues related to temples across India. There should be a national debate by all policymakers, religious heads, judiciary, citizens, media, and everyone else in their respective fields. I think we all should come together to stop the insult of Sanatan Dharma in any form.'
Responding to this, Prakash Raj had written, 'Dear Pawan Kalyan, this incident happened in the state where you are DCM. Please investigate and find the culprits and take strict action. Why are you spreading fears and raking up this issue at the national level? There is already enough communal tension in the country. Thanks to your friends at the Centre.'
