'PoK will soon come back to India', Foreign Minister Jaishankar said- people there are getting impressed after seeing the Jammu and Kashmir's development
S Jaishankar on PoK: After Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, now Foreign Minister S Jaishankar's statement regarding PoK has come out. Jaishankar said that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) is an integral part of India and will eventually return to India. Jaishankar said that the people there have now taken to the streets against their own government.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar described Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as an inalienable part of India and said it will eventually return to India. Jaishankar said that the people there have now taken to the streets against their own government.
Responding to the growing unrest and continued violence in PoK, Jaishankar said there is no doubt that the people of PoK are watching and being impressed by the large-scale development taking place in Jammu and Kashmir in the last few years.
People in PoK are seeing positive changes across the Line of Control (LOC) and they are asking themselves if things are like this, why are we suffering and why are we accepting such abuses? They are undoubtedly being affected by this.
Speaking at the 'Vishwabandhu Bharat' program in Nashik, Jaishankar said that now we just have to see when this happens.
The External Affairs Minister further said that there is complete anarchy in Muzaffarabad of PoK, where the local people are fed up with the violent protests. Clashes with the police have been going on for the last several days over rising inflation and increased electricity bills.
Jaishankar said that PoK is a different category because ultimately PoK belongs to India and it will come back to India, I do not think we should ever have any doubt about this.
