The war going on between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas since October 7 has still not stopped. While many countries have expressed their support towards Israel in this war, there are also countries which have expressed support towards Palestine and opposed this war against Israel. The United States of America has supported Israel in this war from the beginning. Although America has opposed the violence against innocent Palestinians due to this war, it has also called action against Hamas necessary. Recently, US President Joe Biden and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu once again spoke on the phone.

This was the first time Biden and Netanyahu had spoken over the phone in a month. Netanyahu recently gave the Israeli army the go-ahead to engage in combat in Rafah. Terrorists affiliated with Hamas operate out of this, the final major Palestinian city. Under these circumstances, significant Israeli military action in Rafah is imminent. This will unleash even more destruction. Biden forewarned Netanyahu over the phone that Israel shouldn't launch military action in Rafah in such a scenario because it would be a mistake.

Over 32,000 Palestinians have lost their lives as a result of Israeli attacks to date. 31,726 Palestinians from Gaza and 435 from the West Bank were among the deceased.

So far 73,792 people have been injured in Gaza due to this war. At the same time, 4,650 people have been injured so far in the West Bank.
