After the announcement of the government, gas cylinders are getting cheaper by Rs 200 today, new prices applicable across the country
LPG New Price: After the announcement of the central government, the prices of gas cylinders have been increased in many states of the country.

Just before Rakshabandhan, the Narendra Modi government gave a big relief to the countrymen on inflation. In fact, the government announced a subsidy of Rs 200 on LPG gas cylinders on Tuesday. It was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by PM Modi. More than 33 crore people will get the benefit of this exemption.
Tell that after the order issued by the government, the subsidy on domestic gas cylinders has started from today. At the same time, now under the Ujjwala scheme, those taking cylinders will now have to pay Rs 400 less on domestic cylinders. A subsidy of Rs 200 on the cylinder is already being given to 9.6 crore beneficiary families associated with Ujjwala.
Domestic LPG cylinders of 14.2 kg are now being sold for Rs 903 in the country's capital Delhi. Till Tuesday, the price of such a cylinder was Rs 1103. It means to say that customers are now getting cylinders at a cheaper price of Rs 200 than before. At the same time, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder in Kolkata was Rs 1129, which has now come down to Rs 929 after a reduction of Rs 200. The price of this cylinder in Mumbai was Rs 1102.50, which has come down to Rs 902.50 after the new cut. Similarly, the new price of domestic LPG cylinders in Chennai has come down from Rs 1118.50 to Rs 918.50.

The committee constituted by the Ministry of Petroleum had also told the price of domestic gas cylinders in its report to be high and recommended reducing it. That's why there may be more relief in the price of domestic cylinders in the future. However, after this decision of the Central Government, the challenge for the State Governments may increase.
It will be interesting to see whether states like Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, where cylinders are being given at an average of Rs 500, pass on the central government's subsidy to the customers or not. If he delivers, then the cylinder in these states will be reduced by another two hundred rupees. Otherwise, the BJP can make it an issue.
Opposition parties, including the Congress, have targeted the Modi government for raising the price of gas cylinders on behalf of the government. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge tweeted that when the votes started decreasing, the election gifts started getting distributed! The merciless Modi government, which looted the hard-earned money of the people, is now showing feigned goodwill towards the mothers and sisters.
At the same time, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that two meetings of the opposition alliance 'India' were held and the prices were reduced. Mamta wrote on Social Media X (earlier Twitter), 'So far in the last two months only two meetings of the 'India' alliance took place and today we are seeing that the price of LPG gas has been reduced by Rs 200. This is I.N.D.I.A. How dare!'
