Chandrayaan 5 LUPEX mission: ISRO's ambitious Lunar Polar Exploration Mission or LUPEX has got the approval of the National Space Commission. Now soon it will be placed before the Union Cabinet, where after approval, the path of the mission will be cleared. After having conquered the moon in their mission, now ISRO is preparing for a mission on the moon on a larger scale. Keeping this in mind, to say, the ambitious LUPEX mission of ISRO has got the approval from the National Space Commission. ISRO will complete the Lunar Polar Exploration Mission or LUPEX with the Japanese space agency named Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.

Worth mentioning here, it would be ISRO's fifth moon mission. After the success of Chandrayaan 3, ISRO began its preparation for Chandrayaan 4. In the meantime, approval of the fifth mission also came. Now this mission has to be approved by the cabinet. After this, the path of the mission will be clear.

According to ISRO, it wants a complete series of Chandrayaan missions so that such capability can be developed that in the future, humans can be successfully taken to the moon and brought back. Talking about the Loopex mission, under this ISRO will develop the lander while Japan's agency JAXA will make the rover.

The rover will carry ISRO and JAXA equipment along with NASA and the European Space Agency. The mission also envisages the possibility of exploring the polar region with an aim to create a base for permanent activities on the moon. Along with this, information about the presence of water resources on the surface of the moon will also be obtained.
