War of words broke out between Javed Akhtar and 'Animal' director, "It is dangerous for the film not to be made..."
Javed Akhtar and Sandeep Reddy Vanga are constantly taunting each other regarding the film 'Animal'. Now Javed Akhtar has hit back over Sandeep's comments on Farhan Akhtar. Let us know the whole matter…
The war of words between Javed Akhtar and Sandeep Reddy Vanga is not stopping. Last time the 'Animal' director had taunted Javed Akhtar for criticizing his film with Ranbir Kapoor. Sandeep had asked Javed Akhtar to check what kind of films and web series his son Farhan Akhtar does. Let us tell you that he had targeted ‘Mirzapur’.
After that taunt, Javed Akhtar did not immediately react to it, but now he has responded to Sandeep Reddy Vanga in his way. Javed, who called the success of Animal dangerous, has reacted to Vanga's taunt regarding his son's production 'Mirzapur'.
In an interview with Barkha Dutt, Javed Akhtar said, "I felt honoured when she responded to me. In my career of 53 years, he did not get a single film, a single script, a single scene, a single dialogue, or a single song. So he chose one of his son's works, in which Farhan has neither acted, nor directed, nor written it. His company just manufactured it.
Nowadays big companies like Excel are making many things. One of them is this. This bothered me to no end. You could not achieve anything in your career of 53 years? What a shame."
Javed even said that he has no problem with the filmmaker and he has every right to do whatever he wants. But the problem is the way the audience accepted the film and that is what they found dangerous. Many people agreed with Javed.
Animal has been termed as a sexist film and there are many scenes in the film which many people did not like. On the other hand, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is now all set to make the sequel of Animal, Animal Park.
