530km range and 80% charge in 27 minutes, starting price ₹61.25 lakh. Volvo India has officially launched its powerful electric car 'Volvo C40 Recharge' for sale in India. The company has kept the initial price of this car at Rs 61.25 lakh (ex-showroom price).

C40 Recharge will compete with these cars including Hyundai Ioniq-5
The Volvo C40 Recharge is the coupe styled version of the XC40 Recharge. In the premium electric vehicle segment, the Volvo C40 will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, BMW I4 and the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
C40 Recharge EV Available in 8 Color Options
Volvo unveiled the C40 Recharge in India on 14 June. Then the details of its design and features were shared. There are 8 color options in the C40 Recharge EV. These include Black Stone, Fusion Red, Thunder Grey, Fjord Blue, Silver Down and Crystal White, Sage Green and Onyx Black.
Volvo C40 Recharge: Performance
The Indian version of the Volvo C40 Recharge comes with twin motors. This twin motor generates power of 408PS and torque of 660NM. This all-wheel-drive version can do 0-100 kmph in 4.7 seconds. Its top speed is 180 kmph.
Rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options are available with the car in the global market. Apart from this, a single motor is also available, which generates power of 235bhp and torque of 420Nm. This car accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 7.4 seconds.
Volvo C40 Recharge: battery and range
The Volvo C40 Recharge EV is powered by a 78kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is claimed to have a driving range of 530 km on a full charge. Charging it from 10 to 80% with a 150kW DC fast charger will take 27 minutes. The car takes 7-8 hours to fully charge with an 11kW level 2 charger.

The Volvo C40 Recharge is attractive and modern. The company's signature styling elements are found in it.
