US Shooting: Firing on police who went to arrest wanted criminal in North Carolina, four officers killed
US Shooting: Four police officers serving a warrant for a criminal wanted on gun charges were killed and four other officers were injured in a shooting at a home in North Carolina on Monday. The attack took place when after killing the wanted criminal, the second shooter started firing on the police personnel.
In North Carolina, America, four police officers were killed by miscreants firing their weapons. Four additional cops were hurt in the interim. A warrant for a criminal wanted on gun charges had been served by all of these officers at a North Carolina home. After that, the miscreants opened fire, killing four police officers and injuring another four.
Chief of Police for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Johnny Jennings said that after killing a wanted man, a second shooter opened fire on the officers who had come to a Charlotte neighborhood to save the first group of killed officers. This resulted in injuries to some of the officers.
“Today we lost some heroes who were trying to keep our community safe,” Jennings said at a news conference. After this encounter, a woman and a 17-year-old man were found in the house. Both are being questioned, Jennings said.
The US Marshals Service has confirmed in a post on social media that a Deputy US Marshal has been shot and killed during an operation to capture a fugitive warrant offender in Charlotte, North Carolina. Several other Marshals Service task force members and local officials were also shot and wounded.
