France committed to support Make in India, Euronaval MD said - India is our best customer
France: During the 2024 Defense Exhibition in France, Hugues emphasized the long-standing cooperation between the two countries in naval defense. Referring to the 70 years of cooperation between the two countries, d'Argentre said that France has helped set up 20 factories in India and has been doing defense cooperation among themselves.

France has reiterated its commitment to support India's 'Make in India' initiative in the defense sector. Hugues du Plessis d'Argentre, MD of naval exhibition organiser Euronaval said India is its best customer and will continue to work on its defence needs.
During the 2024 Defence Exhibition, he spoke of the cooperation between the two countries on naval defense for a long time. Referring to 70 years of cooperation between the two countries, d'Argentre said France has helped set up 20 factories in India and is continuously doing defense cooperation among itself.
Hugues du Plessis d'Argentre said regarding future cooperation, "French companies cooperate with Indian defense companies, but it will depend on the efficiency or cost-effectiveness of Indian-made naval assets." He said that this year's exhibition will focus especially on drone-related innovations.
