UK Family Visa: Salary limit of family visa increased in Britain, now Indians will not be able to invite their relatives easily
UK Family Visa: Now it will not be easy for expatriates living in Britain to call their family or their relatives because the Sunak government of Britain has increased the salary limit for family visas. Indians will be affected the most because most Indians live in Britain.
The minimum income limit for Britons who want to invite their relatives to the country on a family visa has been increased by 55 per cent from Thursday. These also include people of Indian origin living here (Britain). The government had announced such a scheme last year. Under this, from Thursday the minimum annual income of people inviting relatives to Britain on family visa has been increased from 18,600 pounds to 29,000 pounds. This salary limit will be increased twice more till next year. This will equate to the skilled worker visa salary limit of £38,700.
According to Britain's Home Office, it was brought by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Home Minister James Cleverley to reduce legal migration and ensure that the taxpayers here are not burdened by people coming from outside. This is the last attempt under the package. Immigration is one of the major election issues before the general elections to be held in Britain this year (UK Election 2024).
Britain's Home Minister James Cleverley, explaining the logic behind the policy change, said that it is necessary to reduce the tension arising from large-scale migration. He said mass migration has reached a tipping point. There is no easy solution or easy decision that will reduce the numbers to a level acceptable to the British people.
