Indirapuram Scheme: Useful news for the people of Ghaziabad. Indirapuram scheme has been transferred from GDA to Municipal Corporation. Till now the corporation used to collect only house tax from the residents of the Indirapuram scheme, but now it will also collect sewer and water tax. This will increase its treasury by Rs 14 crore annually.

In a meeting held in the auditorium of his office under the chairmanship of Meerut Divisional Commissioner Selva Kumari J. on Friday, the Indirapuram scheme was transferred from GDA (GDA Housing Scheme) to the Municipal Corporation. With this, the way has been cleared for an increase of Rs 14 crore annually in the corporation's fund.

Apart from this, the Municipal Corporation will also be able to rent out the community centers of the Indirapuram scheme. This will also increase the income of the corporation. Municipal Corporation's Chief Tax Assessment Officer Dr. Sanjeev Sinha said that till now the Municipal Corporation used to collect only house tax from the residents of the Indirapuram scheme.

Which comes to around Rs 10 crore annually. Now, after the transfer of the Indirapuram scheme to the Municipal Corporation, it would collect house tax as well as sewer and water tax from residents here. This is estimated to be around Rs 14 crore.

This way, the corporation will get around 24 crore rupees annually from house tax, water and sewer tax. Apart from this, the Municipal Corporation will also allot tenders in the Indirapuram scheme for parking. This too will add crores to the Municipal Corporation's funds.
