The bodies of two soldiers were found mutilated; Terrorists ran away after looting weapons; operation continues. On Thursday (December 21), terrorists ambushed two army vehicles in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. Five soldiers were martyred in the attack that took place around 3:45 pm. Two soldiers have also been injured in the accident. At present the operation is going on.

According to army officials, there was a face-to-face fight between the soldiers and the terrorists. The bodies of two of the martyred soldiers were found mutilated. It cannot be denied that there was a scuffle between them. There is also a possibility that the terrorists martyred the soldiers and looted their weapons.

According to sources, this attack took place in an area named Dera Ki Gali (DKG) on Thanamandi-Surankote road. These vehicles carrying soldiers were going to Surankot and Bafliaj, where security forces had started a cordon and search operation against the terrorists on Wednesday night. The Army was able to contact the security forces involved in the operation today, after which additional security forces were being sent here.

According to intelligence, 250-300 terrorists are ready to infiltrate into India.
On December 16, a senior BSF officer had informed quoting intelligence that 250 to 300 terrorists are on the launchpad on the Pakistan border. They are trying to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir. The officer said that the security forces have been alerted. Any attempt of infiltration from across the border will be foiled.

BSF IG Ashok Yadav said in Pulwama that in view of the terrorist activities, we (BSF) and the Army are keeping an eye on sensitive areas and are alert. In the last few years, the bond between the security forces and the people of Kashmir has increased. If people cooperate with us, we can carry forward the development work in a better way.
