Shan Masood will take over the command of Pakistan against Bangladesh, know what decision the selectors took for Babar
PAK vs BAN Test Series 2024: Shan Masood will take over the command of the Pakistan cricket team in the 2 Test match series to be played against Bangladesh from August 21.
The most targeted after the shameful performance of the Pakistan Cricket Team in the T20 World Cup 2024 is Babar Azam. The suspense remains over his playing in the Test series against Bangladesh starting on August 21. After the team's shameful performance in the ODI World Cup 2023, Babar Azam left the captaincy of all three formats. However, a series before and prior to the T20 World Cup 2024, he again was given the command of the ODI and T20 teams. This time again Babar became disappointed.
Now the Pakistan cricket team will take to the cricket field from August 21. The Pak team has to play a 2 Test match series with Bangladesh at home. Many veterans of Pakistan are of the belief that Babar does not even stand worthy of making a place in the team, let alone giving him captaincy. Similar claims are being made in media reports as well. Shan Masood, it is told, would be leading the Test team against Bangladesh, while as far as Babar Azam is concerned, playing is yet to be decided.
The first Test against Bangladesh will take place in Rawalpindi from 21 August to 25 August while the second Test will be played at the National Park in Karachi from 30 August to 3 September. Pakistan cricket team stands at the sixth position in the Test ranking, with the Bangladesh team in the 9th spot. Both the teams have played 13 matches with Pakistan emerging as a victor 12 times, and on one occasion, the match ended in a draw.
