Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi took oath as the PM of India for the third consecutive time on June 9. After taking charge of his third term, PM Modi will go to Italy on his first foreign tour. PM Modi will leave for Italy tomorrow, June 13. After reading this, it is natural to have a question in the mind why is PM Modi going to Italy? Actually, PM Modi will go to Italy to attend the G7 Summit held every year. The G7 summit will be held from 13 to 15 June at Borgo Egnazia, a luxury resort in the city of Fasano in Apulia, Italy.

Long before the results of India's Lok Sabha elections were published, Italy's Prime Minister Georgia Meloni requested Modi to attend the G7 summit. India is not a member of the G7, but Prime Minister Modi has been invited to represent India at the G7 conference every year for the past few years. Along with India, various other countries have been invited to attend this summit. For your reference, the G7 is a collection of countries with seven advanced economies in the world, including the United States, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, and Japan.
