Paris Olympics: In sailing, Netra missed qualifying for the final with 21st place, medal hopes dashed

According to the rule, only the top 10 in terms of time after the qualifying race reaches the medal round. Netra ranked 21st after the qualifying race.

The 10th day of the Paris Olympics was nothing special for India. After the hopes of medals in badminton and wrestling were dashed, there was a setback in sailing as well. Indian women's sailing player Netra Kumanan finished 21st after the ninth qualifying race in the individual dinghy event on Monday. She is now out of the medal race.

Nethra finished 10th out of 43 participants in the ninth qualifying race. With this, she improved three places in the overall table to reach 21st. Nethra, who is playing her second Olympics, had her best performance in Paris in the first qualifying race in which she finished sixth. Her worst performance was in the eighth race where she finished a disappointing 31st.
