Nepal did the unthinkable and created history by defeating UAE in the first match of Women's Asia Cup 2024. This was the first win in the Women's Asia Cup, with Nepal managing to do so for the first time ever. After deadly bowling of captain Indu Burma, Nepal defeated UAE by 6 wickets thanks to an unbeaten half-century of opener Samjhana Khadka. UAE scored 115 runs for the loss of 8 wickets after batting first in this game. While chasing, Nepal achieved it by losing 4 wickets only.

The opening match of Women's Asia Cup 2024, Nepal won the toss and elected to bowl first. The UAE women's team had a bad start. Isha Rohit Oja was dismissed after scoring 10 runs. Tirtha Satish—9. Rinitha Rajitha could contribute only 6 runs. Samaira scored 13 and Kavisha scored 22 runs.
