From the country's cheapest electric car to the full-size SUV segment, many options are offered by MG Motors. But now the company will work on a special strategy to increase sales. By year's end, MG Motors hopes to have opened 100 touchpoints. Services and post-purchase assistance will be offered in addition to the new MG models. By the end of 2024–2025, the company wants to have 520 sales and service touchpoints spread across 270 cities. At the moment, the company serves about 170 cities through about 380 touchpoints.

Company's CCO Satinder Singh Bajwa said that we are very excited about MG 2.0. Under the new strategy, MG Motor India is moving towards Tier III and IV cities of the country to drive the next phase of growth. Along with establishing a presence in new cities, the company plans to increase production capacity and launch more models in the future. The company's CCO Satinder Bajwa further said that to fulfil these plans, the company will also have to improve its footprint in the Indian market so that the brand can gain consumer trust and confidence. He said that now we are very clear that we have to go closer to 300 cities as the next part of our expansion plan and these 380 touchpoints will go ahead. The company will also include new partners for network expansion.

MG CCO said that currently, we have a presence in 85 per cent of places in India. But the company is working towards launching its showrooms exclusively for rural, tier III and tier III cities, he said that they will sell vehicles with different technologies including electric, hybrid and conventional engines to meet different needs.

Working on the strategy of MG 2.0, the company is increasing its annual production capacity from the current one lakh units to three lakh vehicles. The company will set up a second manufacturing unit in Halol, Gujarat. Currently, the company plans to launch a new car every three to six months from September this year. Last month the company had announced plans to invest Rs 5,000 crore, with JSW Group coming in as an investor and becoming a joint partner with China's SAIC.
