There is big news for the candidates studying MBBS. The order made in MBBS passing marks has been withdrawn by issuing a notification from the National Medical Commission (NMC). Now to pass MBBS, candidates will have to get 50 percent marks as before.

Earlier an order was issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC) on 1 September 2023, in which MBBS students were told that the candidates were minimum to pass in subjects where there were two papers. 40 per cent marks have to be obtained which were 50 per cent earlier. But this order has been withdrawn by NMC only after a month.

The NMC was told to withdraw this order and that this decision had been taken after much deliberation. According to NMC, according to Curriculum Based Medical Education (CBME) Guidelines, a pass percentage is not possible in any way, due to which this order is being withdrawn.

Now again, according to the old rule, MBBS candidates will have to get 50 percent marks to pass the theory and practical exams. At the same time, it will be mandatory for the students to get 50 percent marks for passing both papers in two paper courses, only then they will be considered successful in this exam.
