1. Nursing vacancy in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board has released the recruitment notice. Applications for these posts will start from December 15. Candidates will be able to apply by visiting the official website ukmssb.org. The last date for depositing fees for these posts is January 1.

Interested candidates should have B.Sc. Nursing degree and age should be between 21 to 42 years. SC/ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and Disabled will get relaxation in upper age limit as per government rules.

1. For the first time, women cadets participated in the passing out parade of NDA.

On November 30, President Draupadi Murmu reviewed the 154th syllabus 'passing out parade' of Khadakwasla National Defense Academy (NDA), Pune, during his 4-day visit to Maharashtra. During this, he also laid the foundation stone of the new building of the upcoming 5th Battalion.

For the first time, women cadets also participated in the marching squad of NDA's passing out parade.

2. FTSC scheme extended for three years

During the cabinet meeting in New Delhi on November 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved to extend the Fast Track Special Court (FTSC) for three years. Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS), FTSC has been approved to continue from 01 April 2023 to 31 March 2026. A grant amount of Rs 1952.23 crore will be given to continue the Fast Track Court for the next three years. A grant amount of Rs 1207.24 crore will be provided by the Central Government and Rs 744.99 crore will be provided by the State Government. The Central Government's share in this scheme will be financed from the 'Nirbhaya Fund'.

3. Free ration scheme extended for five years

On November 29, PM Narendra Modi extended the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) for five years during the cabinet meeting. Under PMGKAY, the poor get 5 kg free ration. PMGKAY was launched on 30 June 2020, with its expiry date in December 2023.

4. Rs 24 thousand crore approved for PVTG

In the cabinet meeting on November 29, PM Modi approved Rs 24,104 crore under the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) Development Mission. The Centre's share in this mission will be Rs 15,336 crore and the states' share will be Rs 8,768 crore. Pradhan Mantri PVTG Vikas Mission will be launched to improve the socio-economic conditions of vulnerable tribal groups. The objective of this mission is to strengthen the tribal population. PGVT families will get basic facilities like pucca houses, clean drinking water, education, health, roads and technology.

5. South Asia's first gay marriage took place

On November 29, the first same sex marriage was registered in Nepal. Nepal's Supreme Court had legalized gay marriage in June this year.

Nepal has become the first South Asian country to legalize gay marriage. The Supreme Court of Nepal had allowed gay marriage in the year 2007 itself. The Constitution of Nepal, adopted in 2015, also states that there can be no discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

MP Civil Judge recruitment may be cancelled.

There may be a ban on recruitment after the new decision of MP High Court regarding civil judge recruitment. In fact, on November 17, on the recommendation of the MP High Court, the state government had issued a notification for the recruitment of civil judge. In this, changes were made in qualification and some other rules. Which was challenged in the court through a petition. After the first hearing of the case, the MP High Court on Wednesday ordered the Registrar General to respond to the petition within 24 hours. Now the case will be heard on December 1.

Petitioner Varsha Patel had said that reservation has not been given to OBCs which is a violation of Article 14 and Article 16(4) of the Reservation Rules 1994 of the Indian Constitution. Apart from this, he had also raised questions regarding qualification and selection of general category. Now the hearing of the case will take place today i.e. on 1st December.
