Last week, the Indian stock market witnessed a good rise. Its impact was also visible in the market capitalization of 7 out of the 10 most valuable companies in the country. There was an overall increase of Rs 67,259.99 crore in their market cap.

The stock market only traded three days a week last week because of the Holi and Good Friday holidays. The BSE Sensex increased by 819.41 points, or 1.12%, over this time frame.

Reliance Industries (RIL), owned by billionaire investor Mukesh Ambani, was the most profitable company during this time. To reach Rs 20,14,010.63 crore, its market capitalization climbed by Rs 45,262.59 crore.

At the same time, SBI, a government bank, saw a rise in market capitalization of Rs 5,533.26 crore, reaching Rs 6,71,666.29 crore. The market caps of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC all saw increases.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was the biggest loser last week. Its market cap declined by Rs 10,691.45 crore to Rs 14,05,102.38 crore. At the same time, the market capitalization of Infosys decreased by Rs 4,163.13 crore. It came to Rs 6,22,117.38 crore.

Bharti Airtel suffered a loss of Rs 3,817.18 crore. Its market cap remained at Rs 6,95,038.48 crore.

Reliance Industries topped the list of most valuable companies. This was followed by Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, SBI, Infosys, LIC, ITC and Hindustan Unilever.
