Justin Trudeau Popularity: An agency called Ipsos has conducted a poll for the Canadian newspaper Global News. According to this, the popularity of Canadian PM Trudeau is decreasing. 40 percent people want to see opposition leader Pierre Poilievre as Prime Minister. Whereas, only 31 percent people voted for Justin Trudeau.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seems to be in trouble by blaming India in the murder of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Now he is also not getting support in this matter from Canada's allies 'Five Eyes' (America, Britain, New Zealand and Australia). A former official of America's Defense Ministry Pentagon even said that Trudeau is blaming India without thinking and he is trapped in this.

Everything is not going well in Trudeau's house too. Recent surveys have revealed that if elections are held today, his government will fall. Meanwhile, we should know how Trudeau got into trouble by accusing India? What does the recent survey say about them? Why is Trudeau's popularity declining? After all, on which fronts is the Trudeau government failing?

How did Trudeau get into trouble by accusing India?
In fact, on June 18, 2023, Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead in Canada. On September 18, exactly three months after the murder, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau accused India in the Parliament of Nijjar's murder. However, India's Ministry of External Affairs rejected Trudeau's claims as absurd and biased.

However, now Canadian PM Justice Trudeau seems to be in trouble by blaming India. Justin Trudeau has not been able to present any evidence in support of his allegations, while India has taken a tough stance on Canada's allegations. On the other hand, he is also not getting support from Canada's allies 'Five Eyes' (America, Britain, New Zealand and Australia). Meanwhile, a former senior official of the US Defense Ministry Pentagon has sharply criticized Justin Trudeau and alleged that Trudeau is blaming India without thinking and he is trapped in it.

'Trudeau is blaming India due to elections'
Former Pentagon official and senior fellow at the American Enterprises Institute, Michael Rubin, said on the controversy, 'I don't think Canada's allies agree with Justin Trudeau's theory. When Jamal Khashoggi was murdered in Istanbul, Turkey had given many important evidences, due to which Saudi Arabia was criticized all over the world. But Justin Trudeau is making allegations without thinking and he has not been able to present any evidence till now. When Trudeau says trust him, no one believes him. All this is happening for the election campaign, in which Trudeau seems to be losing. This is the reason why the Five Eyes countries including America are not supporting Canada on this issue.

Why was Trudeau surrounded at home?
While Trudeau has remained isolated in the world by blaming India, his stature at home is also declining. Recently, a poll conducted by an agency called Ipsos for the Canadian newspaper Global News revealed that the popularity of Canadian PM Trudeau is declining.

40 percent of Canadians want to see opposition leader Pierre Poilievre (Conservative Party) as Prime Minister. Whereas only 31 percent people said that they would vote for Justin Trudeau (Liberal Party). Poilievre is personally more popular than Trudeau. If elections are held now, the Trudeau-led Liberal government could be ousted and a Conservative majority government could be formed. Elections in Canada are to be held in the fall of 2025.

First people called Trudeau the worst PM in 55 years
For Trudeau, this is a sharp decline from last September's numbers. However, this is not the only survey that shows Trudeau's popularity is declining in Canada. Earlier in August, a survey by an NGO named Angus Reid Institute had shown his opponent Pierre Poilievre in the lead. The survey said that 38 percent of Canadians are in support of the Conservative Party led by Poilievre. At the same time, a survey conducted in July said that 30 percent of Canadians had termed Trudeau as the worst Prime Minister in the last 55 years.

On which fronts is the Trudeau government failing?
'When you look at why Canadians are feeling this way right now, there's a real dissatisfaction with the direction of the country,' said Darrell Bricker, CEO of Ipsos. Especially when it concerns larger issues that are of personal interest to them. These include problems like housing cost, access to housing and inflation.

On Canada's core issues of the economy, health care and housing, it found that a majority of Canadians think Poilievre has better plans in all three areas.
