Rocket warning sirens continued to sound in southern areas around Gaza and the greater Tel Aviv area early Saturday morning. However, no immediate details were given by the army regarding the explosion. Explosions could be heard around Tel Aviv and in cities outside Jerusalem.

Gaza residents said they heard armed clashes at the separation fence with Israel near the southern city of Khan Yunis and saw significant activity of armed fighters. Israel's ambulance service said teams were sent to areas of southern Israel near Gaza and residents were warned to stay inside, but there was no immediate information on any possible casualties.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said he would meet with top security officials in the coming hours. There was no immediate claim of responsibility from Hamas, the Islamist movement that controls the Gaza Strip, or the smaller Islamic Jihad movement, which has also fought several wars with Israel.

Earlier on September 25, an explosion at a fuel depot killed about 20 people and injured hundreds of others. The explosion occurred in the city of Stepanakert, also known as Khankendi. However, the cause of that explosion has not been known yet. However, according to information, most of the victims were men aged between 20-40 years.
