Over 20 thousand people were arrested in the past one week as part of the security agencies' campaign against illegal immigrants in various Saudi Arabian cities.
According to the information and data released by the Ministry of the Interior, more than 12,000 of the arrested immigrants violated Iqama-related laws, while over 5,000 violated border law. They were detained for not following the country and labor laws.
The statement, issued by the Ministry of Interior, stated that 42 percent of the violators against the border system were citizens of Yemen and 57 percent were Ethiopians. While 1 percent from other countries. 49 persons were also arrested over attempts to leave the country by illegally crossing many bad boundaries of the country.
