The actor said that if we look at the last few years, Bollywood has been a victim of "Opposite Negative Perception" and it is the people working here who have spoiled it and shown its false pictures to the audience.

In an interview given to Indian Express, Emraan Hashmi said, "I don't know but Bollywood has gone towards a very bad situation in the last three years. Whatever is wrong for our society, everything happens in Bollywood. Be it a drugs party or a wild party, everything is seen in Bollywood.

"The Hindi film industry has been facing a lot of negativity on social media for the past few years. Everyone has made it a place to give rotten things. Bollywood has also had to face bad understanding and thinking on the internet.

Emraan Hashmi further said, there are "some bad people" in every film industry who defame and spoil it but no one has ever heard of this about many other industries. Bollywood has now become an easy target for people. Wrong things are being posted about this on social media. The actor also said that there is a lot of nepotism here due to which the talent of outsiders is not able to come on camera. Many people have everything that the Bollywood industry needs but they are not able to come forward.
