The meeting of the National Alliance Committee of Congress has started. It is being told that this important meeting is being held to decide the party's strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. State PCC presidents, general secretaries, legislative party leaders, party in-charges and organization officials are participating in it.

In this meeting to be held at the party headquarters in Delhi, the committee will discuss with the National President on the basis of the Lok Sabha seat wise assessment report received from 32 states. Apart from this, Bharat Nyay Yatra will also be discussed in this meeting.

In this important meeting of Congress, the seat-sharing formula will be discussed with the allies of India Alliance. The outcome of the meeting will be presented to the allies later. Party leaders from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Delhi, West Bengal and Jharkhand will prominently attend the meeting. According to media reports, Congress can field candidates on more than 290 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The alliance committee took feedback from the party top leadership on the seats won by Congress leaders as well as the seats where Congress lagged behind in the 2019 elections.

Earlier on December 30, a meeting of the National Alliance Committee of Congress was held. In the meeting held at the residence of Congress MP Mukul Wasnik in Delhi, the future political strategy of INDIA – the alliance of 28 opposition parties was discussed. After the meeting, party general secretary Avinash Pandey had said that many important points were discussed in the meeting in the presence of senior leaders. Pandey said, we discussed the roadmap of Congress and Indian alliance in view of the upcoming elections. He told that how much help can the alliance get from Congress in winning the upcoming elections? Its different aspects were also considered.
