In political circles as well as the film industry, there is a current of mourning. Veteran film producer and political 'Chanakya' R. M. Veerappan has died at the age of 98. He had been sick for the past few days due to his advanced age. He passed away on Tuesday while receiving care at Apollo Hospital in such a circumstance.

Tamil cinema is progressing thanks to filmmaker R. M. Veerappan has added a significant amount. He worked extensively in the Tamil film industry in his early career. For this reason, he began to be regarded as the father of Tamil cinema. Under the name "Satya Movies," he produced several movies.

RM Veerappan was called the 'Chanakya' of AIADMK politics. In his political career, he held the post of Cabinet Minister in five administrations from 1977 to 1996. This is the reason why he worked in the cabinets of former Tamil Nadu CM MGR, J Jayalalitha and Janaki.

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin expressed grief over the demise of the veteran leader and paid tribute. According to media reports, his last rites will be performed on Wednesday, April 10.
