Another Indian-origin student has died suspiciously in America. The name of the deceased student is Sameer Kamath. Sameer was also a student at Purdue University in West Lafayette City in the American state of Indiana. A few days ago, another Purdue University student, Neel Acharya, died and his body was found in the university itself. Sameer, 23, had completed his master's degree in mechanical engineering in August last year and was pursuing his doctorate. Sameer also had American citizenship.
Sameer's body was found in a suspicious condition at a nature preserve in Warren County in West Lafayette around 5 pm on Monday.
The cause of Sameer's death has not been revealed yet. But a murder angle is being added to this death as his body was found in a suspicious condition in a nature preserve.
Investigation into Sameer's death has started.
It is only the second month of 2024, but this is the fifth case of suspicious death of an Indian/Indian-origin student in America this year.
