Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem on Sunday. During this, the weapons coming from America were discussed. Benjamin Netanyahu said in the conference, that America is stopping the supply of weapons—Netanyahu first noted at the beginning of the meeting, about four months ago, there was a decrease in the guns coming from America to Israel.

He further said for several weeks, we asked our American friends to expedite the shipment. We did that many times. We did it at the highest level. We got all kinds of clarifications from America, but we have not yet got the necessary things. Some items arrived, but large-scale arms supplies were halted.

He hasn't said which weapons the US is keeping. Netanyahu also said that last May, the Bush administration acknowledged it was holding up a shipment of 500-pound and 2,000-pound bombs because it was concerned they'd be used in Rafah. Washington claims all other weapons are being distributed.

The comments came after Defense Minister Yoav Galant departed for Washington Saturday night amid reports he was to discuss with senior US officials the situations in Gaza and Lebanon and Iranian threats.

Netanyahu is also likely to speak before a joint session of Congress on July 24. In addition to this, in the cabinet meeting, Netanyahu also announced the appointment of Major-General. Since the earlier part of the last decade, there has been tension between Israel and Gaza. Hamas' attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7 killed at least 1,200 people and took 252 Israelis and foreigners hostage. More than 30 of the 116 hostages are believed to be dead.
