Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray on Friday said that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Janata Dal-United (JDU) should insist on getting the post of Lok Sabha Speaker to form the next NDA government at the Centre.
Thackeray made a claim on the social media platform X that the time the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forms the government, it will try to break the parties of its allies. He further said, 'It is a humble request to the new allies of NDA to ask for the post of Lok Sabha Speaker.'
Without taking any name, Thackeray also indicated that there could be a split like Shiv Sena and NCP. "After experiencing the exploits of BJP, as soon as they form a government with you, they will break promises and try to break your parties too. You must have experienced this before," he said, tagging the accounts of TDP and JDU on X.
Narendra Modi's third term as prime minister is now dependent on the TDP and JDU's support, as the BJP is now unable to secure the necessary majority to form government. BJP has won 240 of the NDA's 293 seats.
