The Super 8 matches for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup will begin on June 19. The Indian team has won all of its Group A matches thus far, and they are anticipated to win the last one as well. On June 15, Team India will face Canada. However, prior to this triumph, the ICC made a significant decision; even if Team India lost this match, the ICC regarded it as the number one team in the group and placed it in Group 1 rather than A1. However, the ICC has made another move, placing Australia in this group, despite the fact that it should be in Group 2 according to the schedule.

According to the ICC schedule, 20 teams were placed in 4 different groups. Group A, B, C, and D. Two teams from each of these groups would reach the Super 8. Suppose two teams from Group A qualified, then the top team would be called A1 and the second-placed team would be named A2. The names of the top teams of the remaining B, C, and D groups would also be similar. According to the ICC schedule in Super 8, A1, B2, C1, and D2 would be placed in Group 1 and B1, A2, C2, and D1 would be included in Group 2.

According to this schedule, suppose the Indian team wins the last match, then it would come to Group 1 as A1, but Group B's table topper Australia should have gone to Group 2 as B1. However, the ICC did not do so and considered them the second-placed team of Group B and put them in Group 1 along with India. Group 1 includes the teams of Australia, Afghanistan and India. Now Bangladesh can make a place in this group.
