In the Centurion Test, India lost against South Africa by an innings and 32 runs. India scored 245 runs in the first innings at the SuperSport Park ground on Tuesday. South Africa scored 408 runs in the first innings. India was trailing by 163 runs but the team could score only 131 runs. India lost by an innings and 32 runs on the third day itself. With the win in the first Test, South Africa has taken a 1-0 lead in the series.

KL Rahul scored the only century for India in the first innings. Marco Janson also sledded with him while batting. In the first Test, India did not get easy wickets in South Africa's innings. 1. Rohit bowled on Rabada's ball
Rohit Sharma could not score a single run in the second innings on the third day on Thursday. There was a battle between Rabada and Rohit in the third over. On the first day, India's number eight batsman Shardul Thakur was looking in good form, but the third ball of the 44th over hit his helmet. He was hit on the head by a bouncer from Gerald Coetzee. Shardul appeared to be in trouble after being hit by the ball on his helmet and he underwent a concussion protocol, in which the medical team observed his injury. During the protocol, swelling appeared on Thakur's head.

Despite the injury, Shardul started batting again. In the 47th over, Kagiso Rabada's ball also hit his hand. This time also the medical team checked him. Shardul started batting but was caught out on the very next ball.

3. Rahul scored a century by hitting a six
Rahul was the only Indian to score a century in the match. He completed his century by hitting a six. On the second day, playing at 95 runs in the 66th over, Rahul, on the last ball, moved forward in front of Cootzie's fuller length ball and hit a six on the leg side towards deep midwicket. Along with scoring 101 runs, he scored the 8th century of his Test career. Rahul had also completed his half-century by hitting a six in the same innings.

4. Virat adopted the trick of bails for the wicket
Virat Kohli adopted a unique trick and got the team a wicket. On the second day, between the 27th and 28th overs of South Africa's innings, Kohli went to the striker's end to change the bails during the change in fielding position. He interchanged both the bails of the batsman's end stumps. After this, in the 28th over, Bumrah's first five balls hit four dots and one four. However, on the last ball, Bumrah bowled a length ball to Tony DeGeorge which hit the outer edge of his bat and went into the hands of Jaiswal in the slips and gave the team a wicket.

Kohli did this after being inspired by England's fast bowler Broad. During the second Test of the Ashes in 2023, when Marnus Labuschagne was on 81, Broad swapped the bails, and Labuschagne was caught behind on the very next ball by Mark Wood.

5. Rahul responded with a smile to Marco Yanson's sledging.
On the second day, Marco Yanson was bowling for South Africa in the 45th over of the Indian innings. Rahul had earlier hit a four and a six in Marco Yanson's over. KL Rahul hit a six on the first ball of the 45th over.

After that the second ball was defended. After which Yanson said something while pointing his finger towards Rahul, Rahul smiled looking at Yanson and did not say anything to him. 6. Prasidh Krishna made his debut, Bumrah wore the cap
Indian fast bowler Prasidh Krishna made his Test debut at Centurion ground. Before the toss, Team India vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah handed him the debut cap. Prasidh took his debut test cap and expressed happiness by smiling. The team players congratulated him, while head coach Rahul Dravid hugged him and wished him all the best.

Krishna became the 309th Indian to play Test for Team India. He also made his T20 debut for India against Ireland on August 18 this year. Nandre Berger and David Bedingham made their debut from South Africa.
