There were plans for a terrorist attack in Iran recently. However, the terrorists' plot was discovered before they could carry out their intended actions. On Tuesday, a significant discovery regarding this was made. In Qom City, Iran, two terrorists affiliated with ISIS-K were taken into custody. Though their photos have been circulated, details such as the terrorists' names and places of origin have not been made public.
The two ISIS-K terrorists who were arrested in Qom City had plans to carry out a suicide assault. They were both getting ready to launch an assault on Qom City. Both of them were going to attack, even though it was unclear where in Qom City they would attack. In Iran, Qom is revered as a sacred and sacred city.
Intelligence agents working in the Iranian army had given information about these terrorists and then the security forces arrested both of them.
