This is India's time against a background of global uncertainty, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. This reflects that the world has a great deal of confidence in India today. Not only that, but the country's confidence is extraordinary.

Addressing the third 'Kautilya Economic Conference 2024', Modi said that this event is taking place at a time when two major regions of the world are in a state of war. The Prime Minister said those two regions are very important as far as the global economy - particularly energy - is concerned.

He said, "Despite geopolitical conditions, the Indian economy at present is passing through a phase of metamorphosis with strong infrastructural backbone. It is the fastest-growing major economy of the world. It stands at the five-largest economy by way of GDP.

While addressing a gathering, PM Modi said, "We are number one in the world in smartphone data consumption and the second largest internet user globally." As ANI reports, Modi said that the hope being shown by global leaders and financial experts towards India is not a coincidence but the result of reforms his government brought in during the last decade. As Modi said, investors believe this is the right time to invest in India.
