India had asked to extradite terrorist Hafiz Saeed to India in December 2023. After this, Pakistan has given this information to the United Nations. This step of Pakistan means that Hafiz Saeed will remain in Pakistan till his death.

Terrorist Hafiz Saeed is included in the terrorist list of the United Nations. In December 2008, Al-Qaeda was designated a global terrorist by the UN Security Council's 1267 Sanctions Committee. Pakistan has told the United Nations that on February 12, 2020, Saeed was sentenced to 78 years in prison for financing seven terrorist incidents. He is serving a sentence in jail.

Mumbai attack convict Salam Bhuttawi, a founding member of Lashkar-e-Taiba and deputy chief of Saeed, has died in jail. This terrorist was involved in the 2008 attack on Mumbai.
