Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar has received death threats. There has been uproar in the political corridors regarding this. The NCP chief has been threatened with death through Twitter. In this regard, a delegation of NCP led by NCP MP Supriya Sule has met the Police Commissioner of Mumbai.

According to the information, a Twitter handle named Saurabh Pimpalkar said on Twitter, "Your (Sharad Pawar) Narendra Dabholkar will be treated like this." Let us tell you that social activist and rationalist Dabholkar was murdered in Pune in 2013.

Sharad Pawar's daughter and NCP MP Supriya Sule said I have received this message on WhatsApp. His (accused's) followers have also sent objectionable messages. The manner in which the threat has been made is extremely unfortunate. Sule has demanded that the Home Minister pay immediate attention to the matter.

Maharashtra BJP chief Bawankule has reacted to the issue of threatening Sharad Pawar. Intimidation is not in our blood, he said. Action should be taken against whoever is behind this.

In the politics of Maharashtra, the issue of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb has been hot for the last few days. The Kolhapur bandh called by Hindutva organizations on Wednesday to protest against the glorification of Aurangzeb took a violent turn. Such communal incidents have created an atmosphere of tension in Sambhajinagar, Ahmednagar (Ahilyanagar), and then in Kolhapur. Meanwhile, the political row has increased after BJP leader Nilesh Rane called Sharad Pawar the 'reincarnation of Aurangzeb'. Rane said this after Sharad Pawar expressed concern about the safety of minorities after the Kolhapur violence.

It may be known that the Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti (ANS), an organization raising voices against superstition and irrational religious beliefs, was founded by well-known social worker Narendra Dabholkar. Dabholkar was shot dead on 20 August 2013 near Omkareshwar Bridge in Pune. In this case, the accused allegedly associated with right-wing organizations have been arrested.
