Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences on Wayanad landslide, Iran also expressed condolences
Wayanad Landslide: Putin has sent a condolence message to the President of India Draupadi Murmu and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on the landslide in Kerala.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has also expressed condolences on the devastation caused by the landslide in Wayanad, Kerala. He has sent a condolence message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and President Draupadi Murmu, in which about 170 people have died and many have been injured. The Russian Embassy in India has given this information by posting it on social media. In this post shared on X, it is written that "Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a condolence message to the President of India Draupadi Murmu, and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on the landslide in Kerala. Apart from this, Putin offered his condolences and support to India and the people affected by the landslide and wished them a speedy recovery.
Apart from Russia, Iran has also expressed its condolences in the Wayanad Landslide case. The Iranian Embassy said on Twitter, "The Embassy of Iran in New Delhi expresses its deepest condolences to the Government of the Republic of India and the people of Kerala who suffered in the Wayanad landslide. Our condolences are with the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragic disaster."
Meanwhile, the Kerala Revenue Department said that the death toll in the landslide in the hilly areas of Meppadi in Wayanad district after continuous rains on Tuesday has risen to 167. At the same time, many media reports are putting the death toll at around 170.
According to the Information and Public Relations Department (PRD) in Wayanad, so far 96 victims of this disaster have been identified, including 77 men, 67 women, and 22 children. The Indian Army has also descended to rescue the people trapped in the landslide and has deployed teams for its rescue.
