The scale of the attack was not immediately known. At least five explosions were heard in Kiev and Ukrainian media footage showed several cars damaged, according to news agency Reuters.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said one person was injured in the historic Podil neighborhood and a fire broke out near a city park.

Klitschko and the city's military administration said drone debris fell on the Darnitsky, Solomyansky, Shevchenkivsky, Sviatoshinsky, and Podil districts. In the Shevchenkivsky district, drone debris caused a fire in an apartment, which was quickly brought under control.
