Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani's 8th-day box office earnings

The film "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" garnered Rs 6.90 crore on Friday from its screenings in India, contributing to a cumulative domestic net total of Rs 80.23 crore. On a global scale, the movie has generated a total of Rs 146.5 crore in box office revenue.

As it enters its second weekend in theaters, Karan Johar's "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" witnessed a modest uptick in its box office figures on Friday. This upward trend suggests that the film is likely to experience further growth on both Saturday and Sunday.

Throughout its debut week, the romantic comedy drama maintained a consistent performance at the box office, accumulating Rs 6.9 crore and Rs 6.21 crore on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. Earlier in the week, the film achieved earnings of Rs 7.02 crore on Monday and Rs 7.3 crore on Tuesday. The movie added another Rs 6.9 crore on its second Friday, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.

These recent figures bring the film's domestic net total to Rs 80.23 crore, while its worldwide earnings reach Rs 146.5 crore. The Hindi market witnessed an initial occupancy rate of 8.63% for morning showings, which gradually increased as the day progressed—reaching 13.82% for afternoon screenings, 21.09% for evening viewings, and an impressive 35.38% for nighttime shows.

According to industry forecasts, the Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh starrer is anticipated to amass around Rs 10.72 crore in box office collections from Indian theaters on Saturday.

During its release on July 28, the film debuted with a domestic box office collection of Rs 11.1 crore. This performance saw a significant surge, reaching Rs 16.05 crore on Saturday and Rs 18.75 crore on Sunday.

Despite relatively conservative weekend predictions for "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" this time around, these estimations could still vary due to the absence of major competing film releases across various industries this weekend. With no significant competition until the following week, Karan Johar's film appears well-positioned to effortlessly surpass the Rs 100 crore milestone by the end of Sunday.

The movie features an ensemble cast including Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Aamir Bashir, Tota Roy Choudhury, Churni Ganguly, Kshitee Jog, and Anjali Anand, all playing pivotal roles.
