1. Recruitment for 226 posts in Intelligence Bureau
The process of application for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II and technical posts has been started by the Intelligence Bureau. Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website mha.gov.in.
Candidates must have obtained cut-off marks in GATE exam in the year 2021, 2022 and 2023. This examination must have been passed in the subjects of Electronics and Communication and Computer Science and Information Technology. Candidates applying for recruitment to the post of IB ACIO II/Technology should have minimum age of 18 years and maximum age of 27 years. Age relaxation will be given under MHA IB ACIO II/Technology Recruitment Examination 2023-2024.
2. Recruitment in Delhi Sub-ordinate Selection Board
Delhi Sub-ordinate Services Selection Board has invited applications for 1455 posts of Assistant Teacher in Nursery Schools. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of DSSB dsssb.delhi.gov.in.
The detailed eligibility criteria to apply for these posts will be released with the opening of the application window on January 9. Maximum candidates up to 30 years can apply for these posts.

1. Winter carnival starts in Shimla from today
On December 25, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu inaugurated the state's first winter carnival in Shimla. Lakhs of tourists from all over the world will participate in this seven-day carnival, which runs from Christmas to New Year. The center of attraction for tourists will be 'Mahanati' which will be held today. Women of Self Help Group will perform 'Mahanati' on the ridge. The popular tradition of Himachal Pradesh is called Nati, and when it is organized on a large scale it is called 'Mahanati'.
The mega event will be held at the Ridge, while different performances will be presented near the Gaiety Theatre, Scandal Point, Rotary Town Hall and Police Control Room. 300 extra police personnel have been deployed in the city during the Winter Carnival.
2. Air India's first A-350 aircraft reaches India
Air India's first wide-body Airbus A350-900 aircraft has arrived in India on 23 December. This plane took 7 hours 47 minutes to reach India from France. The plane took off from Toulouse, France at 01:30AM CET (6AM IST) and landed at New Delhi Airport at around 1:47PM.
Four months ago, on August 10, the airline had unveiled the new logo. After this, a month ago, on November 17, the Airbus A350 with a new logo and new livery took its first flight from Singapore to Toulouse. In January 2022, Tata Group purchased the airline from the Government of India for Rs 18,000 crore.
3. Indian women's team defeated Australia
In December, the Indian women's team created history by winning the Test match against Australia by 8 wickets in Mumbai. India has defeated Australia for the first time in women's Test history.
India got the target of 75 runs, which it achieved in the 19th over by losing 2 wickets. This is India's first win against Australia in 11 Tests. Earlier, 6 matches were drawn, while India had to face defeat in 4.
4. Christmas celebrated on 25th December in Ukraine also

1. Free coaching to BHU students for preparation of Civil Services Exam.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has announced the admission date for free coaching classes for the preparation of Civil Services Exam to be held in 2023-24. Admission for these classes will be held on December 30 from 9 am to 5 pm. These coaching classes will be free for the university students. Assistant Registrar of the University, Ramesh Kumar Nigam said that this year around 300 students can participate in admission and counselling. Of these, only 100 students will be selected for coaching. For admission, 147 male students, 63 female students from SC category, 63 male and 27 female students from OBC category and 10 PwD students will participate in counselling.
2. SBI Clerk Prelims Exam between 5th to 12th January.
State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the preliminary exam dates for Junior Associate (Clerk). Candidates can check the exam schedule by visiting the official website sbi.co.in. SBI Clerk Prelims Exam will be held on 5th, 6th, 11th and 12th January. The admit card will be released on December 27. On the day of the exam, candidates will have to go to the center with their admit card and two additional photographs of the photo printed on it. Apart from this, important documents like valid identity proof will also have to be carried. Those candidates who come to the center without call letter (admit card), or who come with a photograph other than the one on the admit card, will not be given entry.
3. Board exam admit card released in Bihar
Bihar School Examination Board has released the admit cards for class 12th practical exams. Students can download the admit card from seniorsecondary.biharboardonline.com. Admit cards will be available till 9 January 2024.
4. HP TET 2024 exam schedule released
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has released the schedule of state TET 2024 exam. According to this schedule, HP TET 2024 will be held twice a year, between June 22 and July 2 and between November 15 and 26. Candidates can check the datesheet by visiting the official website hpbose.org.
