The state government has given instructions to explore the possibilities of industrial use by treating an additional water source of about 5.51 million liters per day of seepage in the Kapurdi and Jalipa mines. Additional Chief Secretary Mines, Petroleum, Industries, and MSME Veenu Gupta said that apart from every drop of water in Rajasthan being precious, if the water available from seepage in mines is purified and used for industrial use, then it will be a good use of water. For this, orders have been given to take legal action according to the rules, in coordination with the concerned departments including the Central Ground Water Department. Both mines have a seepage of 22.96 MLD water, out of which an additional 3.98 MLD from Kapurdi Mines and 1.53 MLD from Jalipa Mines will be available after utilization.
This water of 500 TDS can be purified and made suitable for industrial use. This will make water available for industrial activities in the area. Propounding the need to further expand the CSR activities of BLMCL, said that this would fulfill one more corporate social responsibility, while works of public interest would be accomplished. MD RSMML Sandesh Nayak has been included in the CSR committee.
