The PM expressed his desire for the development of the country's education system so that the youth of the country don't have to go abroad for studies and get an education like foreign institutions in the country itself. Prime Minister Modi made this announcement on the occasion of Independence Day while addressing countrymen from the ramparts of Red Fort.
The PM said that for medical studies alone, about 25 thousand children in the country go abroad every year. They have to go to such countries, whose names even surprise me. Most of them are children of middle-class families, who have to spend lakhs and crores of rupees for medical studies. This was the reason that in the last ten years, we have increased the medical seats to about one lakh.
The Prime Minister expressed his concern about the migration of youth to the country and said that I do not want the youth of the country to be forced to go abroad for studies. After the new National Education Policy came, we are rapidly engaged in this direction. The education system is being strengthened afresh.
Prime Minister Modi also mentioned the reconstruction of Nalanda University in Bihar and said that in the field of education, we will have to awaken the centuries-old Nalanda spirit once again, we will have to live it. With faith, we will have to work to give new consciousness to the knowledge traditions of the world. He also emphasized education in the mother tongue and told the states that language should not come in the way of the talents of the country.

He also emphasized skill development and said that the way the world is changing today, the importance of skill has increased a lot. We want to give new strength to skills.
