The report of the Code of Conduct Committee in the case of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, who is surrounded by allegations of asking questions after taking money, can be presented in the Lok Sabha on Friday. The committee report has recommended the expulsion of Mohua from the Lok Sabha. Sudip Bandopadhyay, a Trinamool Congress MP, said he has spoken to Speaker Om Birla and he has said that some other reports, including the code of conduct report, will be presented on Friday.
It is noteworthy that earlier it was to be presented on the very first day of the current session i.e. on December 4, but despite being listed in the agenda, it was not tabled. Many members of the opposition parties have demanded a discussion on the recommendations of the committee and only after that, a decision should be taken.

The committee headed by BJP MP Vinod Kumar Sonkar accepted the report on November 9. In this, Mahua has been found guilty of asking questions after taking money and his expulsion has been recommended. Six members of the committee had voted in favour of the report, including Congress MP Preneet Kaur, who has been suspended by the party.
Whereas four members of the opposition parties had registered their disagreement on the report. Opposition MPs say that this report is a fixed match. He says that in the complaint lodged by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey against Mohua that he (Mahua) took money and gifts and asked questions to tarnish the image of Adani Group, concrete evidence was not presented in support of it. Mohua can be expelled from the Lok Sabha only if the House votes in favour of this report.
