Earlier, till the fifth day of the Games, India was at fifth position with six gold, eight silver and 11 bronze. Now India has eight gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze. He is in fourth place.

Indian shooter Aishwarya Pratap Singh has won another medal in her name. He won a silver medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions men's final after winning the team event on Friday. Aishwarya scored 459.7 marks. China's Linsu created a record and won gold in the Asian Games. He scored 460.6 marks. India's Swapnil Suresh remained in first place for a long time, but he lagged behind in the last moments. He had to be satisfied with fourth place. Swapnil scored 438.9 marks.
Squash team had to be satisfied with bronze
The Indian women's squash team had to be content with a bronze medal. In the semi-finals it had to face defeat against Hong Kong. Anhat Singh lost against Lee 10-12 in the last match. Earlier Tanvi Khanna had lost. Joshna Chinappa had brought India on par by winning the second match, but Anahat's defeat did not allow the team to reach the final.

Indian women's badminton team lost in the quarter-finals. It was defeated 3-0 by Thailand. Team India was eliminated after Ashmita Chaliha lost against Busanan Ongbamrungphan in the third match.
Palak won gold and Isha won silver
India got two more medals in shooting today. Palak won the gold medal in the women's 10 meter air pistol event. Whereas, Isha Singh won the silver medal. Pakistan's Kishmala Talat had to be satisfied with the bronze medal. Palak scored 242.1 and Ishaan scored 239.7. Whereas, Kishmala scored 218.2. This is Isha's fourth medal in the competition.
Advait reaches swimming finals
In swimming, Adwait finished seventh overall in the men's 200m backstroke heat with a timing of 2:03.01 seconds. He has reached the final to be held at 5:26 pm.
Ramkumar and Saket had to be satisfied with silver medals

India has got a silver medal in the men's doubles event of tennis. The pair of Saketh Myneni and Ramkumar Ramanathan lost in the final. Both had to be satisfied with silver medals. Saketh and Ramkumar were defeated by Chinese Taipei's Jason and Yu-Hsiu in straight sets.
Sindhu's sensational defeat
PV Sindhu has faced defeat in the women's team event against Thailand. He was defeated by Pornpawee Chochuwong in a three-game match. Sindhu lost the match 21-14, 15-21, 14-21. India is now trailing 0-1 in the match against Thailand.
Gold in shooting
The trio of Aishwarya Pratap Singh, Swapnil and Akhil did wonders in the shooting. Together, all three won the gold medal in the 50 meter rifle 3 positions men's team event. All three together scored 1769. China's pair of Linshu, Hao and Jia Ming got the silver medal. At the same time, Korean players won the bronze medal.
India wins silver in 10 meter air pistol women's team event
India has got another medal in shooting. India won the silver medal in the 10 meter air pistol women's team event. Indian women's team players Isha Singh, Palak and Divya did wonders. The trio gave the country its 26th medal in the current edition of the Asian Games. The team of Isha Singh, Palak and Divya stood second with a score of 1731-50x. China's pair of Ranxing, Li and Nan captured the gold.
Saket-Ramkumar final match begins
The Indian pair of Saketh Myneni and Ramkumar Ramanathan have set out to win the gold medal in tennis men's doubles. Both are competing against Jason and Yu-Hsiu of Chinese Taipei. If Saketh and Ramkumar win this match then they will capture the gold.
Sindhu lost in the second game
PV Sindhu lost the second game 15-21 against Chochuwong of Thailand. Now the match will be played in the third game.
Aishwarya finished second in qualification
Aishwarya qualified for the finals in Men's 50m Rifle 3P. He stood second with a total of 396 points. Aishwarya is only one point behind Du Linshu of China. Swapnil is at third position with 395 while Akhil is struggling at 11th position with 391.
