During the shooting of films, directors sometimes face problems related to technology and the availability of materials. In such situations, they often resort to Jugaad to save time and money. Filmmaker Karan Johar did something similar during the shooting of the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ).

In this film, Karan worked as an assistant director with director Aditya Chopra. Karan, while talking to actresses Kajol and Rani Mukherjee in his chat show Koffee with Karan Season 8, said that he was shooting DDLJ's song Zara Sa Jhoom Loon... in the snow. It required a red outfit, but there was some problem with designer Manish Malhotra.

In such a situation, Karan brought the costume of a background dancer. The background dancer wore during the shooting of the film's song Ruk Ja... Karan further said, "Let me tell people that during the shooting of the song Zara Sa Jhoom Loon in the snowy valleys, Kajol wore the same costume, boots, and cap which the dancer wore in the song Ruk Ja... During the shooting of Zara Sa Jhoom Loon.. in the snow, Kajol had to give up the cap because something went wrong with the wig.

A few months after the shooting, when Adi (director Aditya Chopra) was editing the film on the editing table, he asked me about it. When I told him about what went wrong with the outfit, he was shocked, but I had to save the day."
